WSOP-rannekevoittajana ja World Poker Tour -mestarina muistettava ex-pokeriammattilainen Eugene Katchalov on satojentuhansien muiden kotinsa jättäneiden ukrainalaisten tavoin jumissa Ukrainan sota-alueella. Katchalovin tilannepäivitysten mukaan tämä pääsi vaimoineen pois Kiovasta, ja aikoo aamun valjetessa pyrkiä pois Ukrainasta ilmeisesti Puolaan. Katchalovin matkaa voi kuitenkin mutkistaa Ukrainan juuri asettama yleinen liikekannallepano, joka estää 18-60-vuotiaita miehiä poistumasta maasta. Tiedossa ei ole, onko Katchalovilla esimerkiksi kaksoiskansalaisuutta, jonka avulla tämä saattaisi halutessaan välttää poistumiskiellon.

There are risks to both staying and going and we haven’t decided yet. No clear option.
Staying – invasion may worsen, roads may get destroyed, internet may disappear (waze/gmaps) etc

Hearing military planes flying overhead. Not sure if UA or RUS. Owner of the house is now showing us her basement where I guess we could take cover in case bombing starts.
