RRR Movie: RRR is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language period action drama film directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by D.V.V. Entertainments’ D. V. V. Danayya.
The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan, with cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt and Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, and Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran.
It tells the story of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam Hyderabad, respectively.
Rajamouli wrote the screenplay based on a story written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad. Rajamouli came across stories about incidents that occurred in the lives of Rama Raju and Bheem and connected the dots.
Rajamouli was inspired to make the film by the thought of how they could have been friends during their formative years.
Set in 1920, the plot delves into an undocumented period in their lives when both revolutionaries chose to go into exile before fighting for their country.
The film was formally announced in March 2018, with principal photography beginning in November 2018 in Hyderabad.
The film was shot primarily in India, with a few scenes in Ukraine and Bulgaria. M. M. Keeravani composed the soundtrack and background score for the film, shot by K. K. Senthil Kumar and edited by A.
Sreekar Prasad. Sabu Cyril served as the film’s production designer, and V. Srinivas Mohan oversaw the visual effects.
