Dive Into the Partypoker Grand Prix Ko Summer Series

PartyPoker is quickly becoming the main online poker platform of choice for lovers of progressive knockout tournaments. The brand recently organized yet another tournament dubbed the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition. This tournament featured 14 PKO tournaments that each offered juicy guarantees and a wide range of buy-ins to include as many poker players as possible.

The KO Summer Series was scheduled to run from August 11th to August 29th and was designed to provide a sizzling and exciting atmosphere for online poker players of all levels whether novice or advanced. The buy-ins for the 14 tournaments will range from $5.50 and rise to an affordable $32.

The prize pools are expected to be just as epic with PartyPoker promising to drum up a little under $2 million worth of guaranteed pots. At least $500,000 of the $2 million will be reserved for the Grand Prix KO Summer Edition Main Event which only requires a buy-in of $109.

All the 14 events will feature numerous starting flights thus giving participants lots of opportunities to punch their Day 2 entries. The Day 1s events will only be concluded when 15% of the field remains, which will push the top finishers into Day 2’s events. Each tournament on Day 1 will be allowed one re-entry and will offer late registration.

Although all the tournaments have something impressive to offer, the truth is that the Main Event is the star of the entire tournament. The Main Event is promising a guarantee of $500,000 at the small buy-in of $109. The first series of Day 1s will shuffle and deal on August 11th while the Day 2s will kick off much later on August 29th.

Last year, when PartyPoker organized a similar tournament in winter, the Grand Prix KO Winter Series Main Event attracted more than 6,000, poker players. Out of all the players, Augusto Hagen from Argentina outplayed and outlasted everyone to see his $109 investment generate $51,356 with bounties and perks included.

The 2022 summer edition promises even better results. This isn’t the first time that PartyPoker is organizing a race-themed poker showdown. Racing-themed tournaments are quickly becoming a popular choice for many online poker players.

For poker players that cannot afford the steep $109 buy-in, PartyPoker has also organized smaller satellites starting from $0.01 centrolls climbing to the $16.50 Feeders. These satellites will offer PartyPoker customers more chances of securing their spot at the Main Event on the cheap.

There will also be $10 buy-in Grand Prix Edition SPINS. The spins will payout $20 in either cash or tickets that will vary in size. The spins are designed to be fast and over in minutes to add an exciting layer to the gambling fun.

Partypoker’s McLaren Turbo Series was a massive success

Not too long ago, Partypoker also concluded its first-ever McLaren Turbo Series. The series kicked off on July 22nd and lasted through August 8th and featured a total of 68 events. Each of the tournaments held during the series consisted of a turbo or hyper-turbo blind structure, which requires a particular skill set from experienced poker players.

Those that signed up were required to be fast as players had to overtake each other in chip counts to fight for their places on the final table. Once the players had secured their place, they were guaranteed of taking some of the largest cash prizes in the entire series. Many of the events had up to 3 buy-in levels, which made the series open to players of all budget levels.

Buy-ins for the tournaments started from a modest $0.55 and climbed up to $215. There were several qualifiers organized by PartyPoker for the various events, which allowed select poker players to get into the higher buy-in events for mere pennies.

PartyPoker also organized a welcome freeroll that was accessible by all of PokerStars’ real money customers. The free roll promised to pay out McLaren Turbo Series tickets worth at least $5000. The top 5 finishers were also awarded a McLaren goodie bag full of amazing merchandise from the McLaren brand.

Last year, McLaren recorded its first win with Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris since 2012. The last time McLaren boasted such an incredible victory was at the Brazilian Grand Prix. McLaren is easily one of the most supported teams in the Formula One circles. As such, the added merchandise served as a real treat to any McLaren fan.

Event #1 of the Turbo Series kicked off as soon as the freeroll commenced on July 22nd. The first event, an Opener KO, offered a variety of buy-ins starting from $0.55 and rising to $55. The lowest buy-in offered a guaranteed prize pool of $1500 while the largest buy-in offered poker players a chance to walk away with a piece of the $100,000 guarantee.

PartyPoker customers were given a chance to play in not one but 3 Main Events in the McLaren Turbo Series. The smallest of these Main Events offered an impressive guarantee of $10,000 for the small buy-in of $3.30. The mini-main event, on the other hand, had a slightly higher buy-in of $22 and a guarantee of $100,000.

However, it is the much larger Main Event with a buy-in of $215 that had poker players excited. The turbo event promised a payout of at least $300,000 for the winner as well as an all-expenses paid trip to this year’s Brazilian Grand Prix which is scheduled to take place this November. All 3 of the main events maintained the blind structure so that micro stakes poker players could also participate.

Final Thoughts

Although most poker players will be looking forward to the Main Event at this year’s Grand Prix KO Summer Series, there are plenty of smaller tournaments to keep customers busy. For instance, the 7-Max High Roller, the Super 50, as well as the Super 5 with a buy-in of $5.50 all promise to offer wonderful opportunities to participants. As far as poker tournaments go, PartyPoker is indeed the gift that keeps on giving.
